Trevor Noah is hosting the awards for the fourth time, and this year there's a strong showing for female artists, with seven of the eight acts nominated for the top prize of Record of the Year being female acts. That category sees Taylor Swift's Anti-Hero go up against the likes of Olivia Rodrigo's Vampire, SZA's Kill Bill and Billie Eilish's contribution to the Barbie soundtrack, What Was I Made For?
Rodrigo and Eilish are both scheduled to perform at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with Dua Lipa, SZA and Travis Scott also billed to play live.
The ceremony is set to feature performances by some legendary acts as well, including Billy Joel and U2. And Joni Mitchell is scheduled to take the Grammys stage for the first time in her storied career.
As the Grammys take place this weekend, artists, producers and songwriters will gather to celebrate the biggest songs from the past year.
The music award show, in which the Recording Academy awards the best in music each year, will take place on Feb. 4 and will be hosted by Trevor Noah, marking his fourth year in a row in the role.
Joining Noah on the stage will be a star-studded lineup of performers and presenters. SZA, who holds the most nominations this year, will perform live alongside other musical performers such as Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo, while Oprah Winfrey, Christina Aguilera, Meryl Streep will help hand out awards.
The 66th annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live tonight, Sunday, February 4, 2024, from Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena. This year's ceremony will recognize an elite group of artists and the music they have released within the window of October 1, 2022 - September 15, 2023. The Grammys are famous for creating some of pop culture's most unforgettable moments, including show stopping fashion and extraordinary live performances. This year's awards are sure to be no different as the Recording Academy honors nominees across 94 categories.
Leading this year's nominees, which were first announced back in November 2023, is singer-songwriter SZA with a total of 9 nods. Victoria Monét, Phoebe Bridgers, and audio engineer Serban Ghenea are tied for second-most nominations with 7 each, and third place also holds a tie between Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Jack Antonoff, Boygenius, Brandy Clark, Miley Cyrus, Jon Batiste, and, of course, Taylor Swift, who are all up for 6 awards each.
The Grammys will welcome the addition of the three brand-new categories Best Alternative Jazz Album, Best Pop Dance Recording, and Best African Music Performance; Nigerian superstar Burna Boy, who is nominated in the latter bucket, will be the first Afro-fusion musician to perform on the Grammys stage.
The artist with the most 2024 Grammy Award nominations will be among the performers on the awards show. She will perform along with Burna Boy, Luke Combs, Billie Eilish, Billy Joel, Dua Lipa, Joni Mitchell, Olivia Rodrigo, Travis Scott and U2. Trevor Noah will host the show from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
The 66th Grammy Awards are set to air on Sunday, Feb. 4. Joni Mitchell, in her first-ever Grammys performance, is set to take the stage along with legends like Billy Joel and U2, and the most-nominated artist of the evening, SZA.
Also among the performers are Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Travis Scott, Luke Combs, Dua Lipa and Burna Boy.
Trevor Noah was announced as host back in December. On his podcast, "What Now? with Trevor Noah," Noah said he’s enjoyed moments in the show when things went a little off script.
On the E! Red Carpet show, panelists Zanna Roberts Rassi and Keltie Knight will provide real-time fashion reactions, behind the scenes stories and fun fashion facts.
The Glambot, a high-definition cinema camera attached to a high-speed robot arm, will also be returning to capture the stars on thi highly anticipated fashionable night.
Thanks to brand partner CÎROC, viewers tuning in to the “Live From E!: 2024 Grammy Awards” will learn how to make the CÎROC Limonata Spritz, as well as witness a moment with their brand ambassador and Grammy nominee Victoria Monét.
The festivities continue with a red-carpet tour as well as how to get glam ready with Zuri Hall provided across social platforms by the Wells Fargo Active Cash Credit Card.
The Grammy Awards announced last week that SZA and Victoria Monét lead the pack with nine and seven nods, respectively, while Taylor Swift is nominated for six.
Burna Boy, Luke Combs, Billie Eilish, Billy Joel, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Travis Scott, SZA and U2 have also been announced as performers. Nominees Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Olivia Rodrigo will hit the stage at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards as the first batch of performers.
